Introduction

On the occasion of the second Convention of the Ecologist Women of Benin organised by BENIN NATURE NGO with the support of the GREEN FORUM, I had the opportunity to meet the Benin Greens and their Executive Board as well as many of their members and also Young Greens. This is a small informative report on this aspect of my stay in Benin.

As NGO Benin Nature is very close to the Benin Greens and many people are involved in both. The idea was to meet and exchange with the Green Party of Benin. You will find some observations and more specifically on the role of women in the party, the functioning of the structure, the objectives of the Greens of Benin regarding their role in Western Africa and their involvement at continental level as well as in the Nairobi process.
